Nature of request
Smale shows that his grandfather was seised in his demesne as of fee of a messuage and 16 acres of land with appurtenances in South Newton in the parish of Calstock, and died seised of the same. The petitioner's father, after the death, entered and was peacefully seised of the same until Lobbe accompanied by a great multitude of people, came riotously and entered the same messuages and ousted the petitioner's father, beating him, and continue to occupy the same. Smale fears that he would be disinherited without a remedy, and requests that the premises be considered, and he have a remedy.
