Nature of request
Thomas shows and complains that Grygge on the Sunday next before the feast of the Nativity of St John the Baptist last, riotously entered and broke the house of the petitioner and with force would have ravished his wife, who at that time was great with child, and he abused her in such a manner that it cause her to become very sick and put her life at risk, and he has continued to menace the petitioner so that he dare not complain nor take another remedy for fear of his life. Thomas requests that the premises be considered and a due remedy be purveyed, or else he dare not abide in his house.
