Deryk shows that he is sued by Harry Boys for a debt owed by Deryk to John Boys, he being in the Marshal ward of King's Bench, the debt being the arrears of an account found before Gargrave and Lye. Deryk states that there was never such an account before Gargrave and Lye, and requests that he be granted writs of sub poena to be directed to Gargrave and Lye to appear before the king in Chancery on a certain day to be examined to see if any such account was ever before them or not.

[On face:][Memorandum] that on 5 March in 28th year of the reign, Waller and Est before the king in Chancery mainprised Deryk that if he cannot prove the matter of his case contained in the petition [...] that then all the damages and expenses which Gargrave and Lye sustained by this occasion, should be satisfied by them by consideration of the court according to the form ordained.[On dorse:]Pledges to prosecute: Richard Waller, esquire; William Est.
