Nature of request
The Vaghans show that they are seised of a manor within the lordship of Dinas in Maud's right but Crofte pretends a title to it and has commenced an action called a formedom against them in the court of that lordship where Crofte is of such great office the petitioners can have no council learned in the law in that court, and be against Crofte. The prince, at the petition of the petitioners summoned the parties before him and his council concerning the matter, but though they are ready to attend, Crofte has not ceased his suit in the court of the lordship. In addition, Harry Wogan will not deliver relevant evidences in his keeping, or appear before the prince and his council. The Vaghans request that Crofte be commanded to surcease his suit in the court, and Harry Wogan be commanded to appear before the prince's council at Westminster with all reasonable haste, and with all relevant evidences touching the right and inheritance of Maud and her son and heir.
