Nature of request
Articles upon which the tinners request justice namely:1) Of all those that by menaces of indictments by force and assault oust the tinners from their lands so that they dare not seek and dig for their tin.2) Of all those that by mastery and lordship, in spite of the tinners, retain their money that was levied by common assent of the tinners to pay their debts towards the king, and the remainder to put in a common purse for their works and to maintain and increase their franchises.3) Of all those that are friends of the tinners and put themselves in their council and assent, but afterwards are the first to oppose when they have the counsel and procurement of others to do this.4) Of those that for a long time have used and still use false weights not marked in buying the tin of poor people in the towns of Bodmin, Lostwithiel, Truro, Helston and elsewhere.5) [Entry struck-through].6) Of those that export tin overseas secretly, the tin not being coined by the coin of the king, by which the king loses the profit of his coin.
