[This petition is badly damaged and largely illegible] To our lord the . . . Earl Marshal who has greatly spent his time in the service . . . John de Chalons, Robert de Stokstone and Henry Bukerel, then justices . . . Henry Sampson and the others named in the writ by judgment 220 marks . . . Matthew de Clyvedon, sheriff of the country was seised of the bodies of 17 trespassers . . . Robert Sopere, William de Lyndwelle, Luce atte Solers, John Aylbri, Roger Travyllans . . . Robert Walissprest, William Stonhard, Roger Foleford, Beliscote Othesolers, Richard . . . sheriff, William Roigny, Thomas de Pokynton and Henry de Walmesford, his clerks . . . through which the said Philip is without recovery and the king not served with his redemption, because of which he requests . . . should be done for him.
