Nature of request
William de Graunsun states that he is distrained for relief on lands which are escheats because of the death of John Trigoz, and also for the arrears of the farm of Dartford. He requests a writ to the Treasurer and Barons of the Exchequer to account for the whole of the debt he owes the king, and that this might be allowed against the debt the king owes him for his wages for Gascony and Scotland. Then if he owes the king anything after this allowance has been made, he is willing to pay it, and if the king owes him anything, he asks that he might be paid at his pleasure.
