Nature of request
Document headed 'The petition of John de Sulleye', and apparently containing notes for an accounting requested by this petition, as follows:The sum certified by the Exchequer that is being demanded - £297 15s 1½d.The sum due to the king for the manor of Dassett that is not being demanded - £266 13s 4d.The sum due to the king from the time that he was in Gascony - £758 8s. 8d. whereof Sandale and Cantebrigg have his letters obligatory.The sum delivered to him when he went into Gascony - £50.The sum of all the debts - £1372 17s 1½d.And of this sum ought to be pardoned - £872 17s. 1½d.And the residue, namely £500, ought to be atterminated at 10 marks per annum at the two terms for the same John and his heirs at the will of the king.
