Note
CPR 1216-25 p.252 and p.253, dated 1220, mention service in Poitou, and would seem to be in response to the seventh article of this petition. A note on the guard states that the petitioner died in 1220, and gives the petition a tentative date of 1216-1220: but as it mentions a current Bishop of Durham, it must date from after Richard Marsh's election in 1217. The petitioner is also mentioned in CPR 1216-25 p.146, dated 1218.
