Note
CPR 1281-92 p.340 is dated 6 February 1290. This concerns only the castle and not the manor, but Richard de Baskerville has the manor also at the time of his petition for the issues (SC 8/276/13769), a Latin summary of which is enrolled on a roll of petitions from the Easter parliament of 1290 (Rot. Parl., vol. I, p. 47a). This petition would therefore seem to be slightly earlier.
