- [This petition is fragmentary] . . . Henry and John in 500 . . . said Reginald . . . assault the aforesaid Henry and John on the Friday follwing the feast of St Peter ad vincula in the year . . . prison there until he had bound himself by force and duresce of prison again to 500 . . . and John by a statute merchant, by whch statute they arrested him and imprisoned him in New[gate] . . . from St Hilary in the thirty-fourth year or the reign of our said lord the king until now and still . . . by force to release to them his right and action. Because of which may it please our said lord the king to . . . deliverance of the said Reginald Watyes out of prison so that he might be free to sue against the said . . . convicted by the law of fraud for the aforesaid things.
