Nature of request
The burgesses of Grimsby make six requests:1) They request return of the king's writs in the shire of Lincoln as they had during the time of the sheriff's predecessors.2) They ask that twenty men of the city of Lincoln might be summoned by writ before the justices of the Bench to show why they are taking toll and other undue exactions from the burgesses of Grimsby within the city of Lincoln.3) They request a writ for the burgesses of Nottingham for a similar matter.4) They request a similar writ for Dervorguilla de Bailolo, whose bailiffs are taking toll from the burgesses of Grimsby in the vill of Torksey.5) They ask that twenty men of Ravenser Odd might be summoned by writ before the justices of the Bench to show why they are preventing merchants from overseas and others from coming with their ships to Grimsby, contrary to the king's prohibition.6) They also state that the burgesses of Newcastle are taking unjust exactions from burgesses of Grimsby coming there with their ships.

They are to have a return as is customary until the next parliament.They are to have a writ for their petition against the men of Lincoln and Nottingham in Chancery, and justice is to be done to them.To all the other petitions they are to have writs in Chancery.
