Nature of request
[This petition is damaged] John de Moubray states that he is distrained to answer for the debts his father owed the king, and requests a writ to the Bishop of Chester, formerly the Treasurer of the Wardrobe, to account with him for the time when his father was [in the service of] the king's father, giving him an allowance for [his wages], loss of horses, and other costs and expenses.
