Nature of request
Romesye, keeper of two parts of the manor of Langton, requests that Filol be ordered by writ to appear before the King in Chancery on the quinzaine of Michaelmas to explain why he has entered the two parts and received its profits. Edward III granted to Yevele the keeping of the two parts of the manor of Langton late of Walsh until his heir came of age. Yevele sold the keeping to Mautravers who sold it to Anketil who sold it to the petitioner.

The petition dates to between November 1375, when Walsh died, and January 1397, at which time the heir would be of age, since in January 1391 she was 'aged 15 years and more' (CIPM, vol. XVI, pp. 424-5, no.1046).
