Joan, widow of Robert de Camvile, requests the King's aid because when he granted her the manor of Laughton in exchange for her manor of Westerham, it was found by inquisition before Waledene that the houses of Laughton were in poor condition. She asks that she may use the wood of the manor to repair the houses.

The sheriff of Surrey and Sussex with the advice of the foresters of their woods of Broyle, Hawkhurst and Waldron.
