Nature of request
The burgesses of Harlech request that they may hold all the escheats and other lands, with the mills of the commote of Ardudwy and profits and issues of Harlech, as they had them from the King, who is dead, paying yearly £19 18s ½d.1)
Nature of endorsement
The charter and petition should be examined in Chancery, and it should be done as reason demands.2) By virtue of which endorsement the justice of Wales and the chamberlain of North Wales were ordered to certify the King on the contents of this petition.
