- Dated on the guard to c. 1494, with reference to CPR 1494-1509, p. 6, and probably, by the simple address, to before 1493 when Morton became cardinal. However, CPR 1494-1509, p. 6 refers to a John Stirley als. Strelley of Nottinghamshire and might not be this petitioner at all.
