Nature of request
Thomas and Alice Shirbourne and Thomas and Joan More recite the descent of messuages and land in Great Marlow from Playstow to Isabel Talworth (on the morrow of All Souls 15 Edward III), to her son Richard, then to her son John who enfeoffed the same to Draycote, and died. The lands descended to Alice and Joan as his heirs, but after Draycote's death his wife Margaret married Hill and they have since claimed the said lands and taken all its profits. The petitioners ask that Margaret and Hill be given a day to appear before a justice to show their evidence of right to that land, and that justice be done accordingly.

The petition dates to 1414-41 since it refers to John Hellage of the Lardery, possibly to c. 1425 since the petitioner's grandfather flourished 15 Edward III, but the style seems later.
