Nature of request
Writ of Henry V to the chancellor of the county palatine of Lancaster, reciting the descent of the manor of Rishton, and ordering him to appoint a commission to enquire into Rishton's title to the manor of Rishton, to be returned in Chancery.1)
Nature of endorsement
Returned to the King in his Chancery.2) By John Wodehouse, King's chancellor in the county palatine of Lancaster.3) As ordered by the King's writ, a commission in the county palatine of Lancaster was directed to sufficient persons named in the same commission to enquire into the right and title of Richard Rishton to the manor of Rishton and I therefore return this writ to you under my seal as the same writ required.4) [On face] By the same King.
