Nature of request
The captain, bailiff and councillors of Gensac state that they had requested the revocation of a gift of the town to Louis Deppoy, knight, made contrary to the indenture made between them and the seneschal of Guyenne when they came into the king's hand, and confirmed by the King, but that the Chancellor is delaying the making of the necessary letters patent. They ask that the Chancellor might be ordered to expedite the business.
