Passinham requests that the King grant him new letters patent pardoning him for the escape of Wiseman, Pauly, Hanse, Webbe and Shepherd from the gaol of Cambridge castle in 1416, while the petitioner was absent and John and Alice Smith were guarding the gaol. The King previously pardoned him for the escape of five felons but the letters patent did not name the escapees and contained an error concerning the day of the escape.
