Nature of request
Griffyn, to whom the King granted the office of chief baron of the Exchequer of Ireland for life, requests punishment for the earl of Ormond who appointed Cornewallsh to the same office, disobeyed the King's writ to admit Griffyn to the office, and entered the petitioner's manor of Griffin Rath, taking its profits for 2½ years. He also asks that Butler admit him to his office and return his manor, and that he be compensated for loss of earnings and his legal costs.
