Nature of request
Martyn, who has the right to various lands and tenements in Mere to which Cleymond has the charters, deeds and muniments which he refuses to deliver, requests that Cleymond be ordered to come before the council bringing the said muniments so that he may have his right.
Nature of endorsement
At Westminster on 29 June in the 9th year etc., it was agreed that a writ be directed to Cleymond to deliver the muniments to the petitioner as reason demands, or that he should come before the council to answer for his actions, on pain of £40.
