Henry, earl of Northumberland requests that Thomas, bishop of Durham, Fairfax, Langton and Stockdale be granted licence, by authority of Parliament, to grant the advowson and patronage of the church of Arncliffe to the abbot and convent of Fountains so that they might better pray for the souls of the King, the petitioner and their ancestors and heirs.1)
