Description
Petitioners
Tenants of the hundred of Godley.
Addressees
King.
Nature of request
[Right side missing] The tenants of the hundred of Godley request that Sawyer and Cachet be released from obligations for 60s made under duress. Wintershill, when sheriff, caused various tenants to be bound to him in various sums but these obligations were pardoned at the Parliament at Westminster in the King's 6th year, since they were made under duress. Despite these pardons, Wimbledon entered the hundred and demanded the money of Sawyer and Cachet.
