Garner makes two requests: 1) He asks that a commission be granted to a serjeant at arms and a writ to the mayor and bailiffs of Dartmouth to deliver the ship called 'Seint Pier' of Ondarroa, captured by Saut and Englishmen and now at Dartmouth, to the petitioner or his attorney.2) He asks that a new commission be granted to a serjeant at arms and a writ to the mayor and bailiffs of Dartmouth to deliver to him the ship called 'Seint Anne' of Guerande, now at Dartmouth, and to arrest Bertelot and his companions, who captured the ship off the coast of Brittany.
Nature of endorsement
On 6 May in the 4th year etc., with the archbishop of Canterbury, the treasurer, the bishop of Rochester, the keeper of the privy seal, Lord Lovell and Norbury present in council, it was agreed that commissions would be made under the great seal on the contents of the two petitions, to men whom the chancellor deems good and sufficient.
