Nature of request
The mayor and burgesses of Oxford request that the chancellor of Oxford University be ordered not to wrongly tax people of the town. The chancellor and scholars of Oxford can tax members of their households, including scriveners and parchmenters, but recently they have demanded tax from others, including Glazier, Pete and Heynes, who should pay tax to the petitioners. They also ask that Glazier, Pete and Heynes can come before the council to declare how they have been taxed.
