John Parker states that the king has granted him 3d. a day for term of life, from the customers of the petty custom of London. He asks that the Chancellor might be ordered to give him two writs called 'currant' and 'dormant' that will guarantee him payment of this sum.

Note
CPR 1399-1401 p.362 is dated 4 October 1400, and the grant is repeated, backdated to 4 October, on 4 December (p.392). CCR 1399-1402 p.221 is dated 12 November 1400. This would seem to give the petition a clear date of 1400.
