Nature of request
[This petition is badly worn] James Tresson states that when he was travelling from La Rochelle to Flanders, he was driven into the port of Falmouth by a storm, and the Mayor, bailiffs, and other officers of the town arrested his ship and goods, claiming that they were French, to his great harm and contrary to the truce between the king and the Flemish.
