- [This petition is faded and hard to read] The petition states that when clerks are arrested on suspicion of a crime and are handed over to their ordinaries, if they escape from the ordinaries' prisons without their permission only 100s. will be asked for this escape. Therefore they etc.

- The eyres held in the past are to be searched for what has been done, and the king and his council informed, and what justice and reason demand is to be ordained for this. And they are to have a writ to stay proceedings until it has been tried whether the ordinaries should pay for such escapes or not.
