[This petition is damaged and badly faded.]Alice, widow of Thomas Gerberge, complains that Stephen, kinsman of John White, came to her house, raped her, and tried to force her to marry him, and then imprisoned her [until she had paid a ransom]. She requests grace and a remedy, and that she might have the law and that the ransom might be [restored], as she has a judgment in the Court of Arches that she should be restored.
