Nature of request
Gerard de Camboun states that certain people want to disturb him in his fees and other possessions, which he does not hold of any lord except the king, and does not wish to. He asks that he, his household and his goods might be received into the king's especial safekeeping, and that he might order the Seneschal of Gascony, the Prevot of the Ombriere, the Mayor of Bordeaux and all the king's other ministers in the Duchy of Guyenne, to uphold him in justice and safekeeping, and to prevent others harming or harassing him.
