Francis de Masse Seint Piere states that ten sacks of his wool were among wools shipped by Baukyn Brunelesk, merchant of Florence, over three years ago, and attached and sold by the Scali at Aigues-Mortes, because of a dispute they had with Baukyn. He, however, never owed the Scali anything, and has sued since then for recovery of his wools, without success. The total of his losses and expenses amounts to 300 marks, and he requests a remedy.
Nature of endorsement
This petition is to be delivered into Chancery, and the merchants of the company of the Scali are to be called there; and when the arguments have been heard on both sides, justice is to be done according to the law used in such a case.Enrolled.To Thomas de Sugd[on] by William de Broklesby.
