Name(s)

Addressees
King and council.
Nature of request
Elias de Pomeres, brother of the Lord of Pommiers, makes two requests:1) He requests payment of money owed him for his fee and for horses lost in the king's service in his wars in Gascony, so that he can maintain his estate and continue in the king's service.2) He states that because of his service he has lost his benefice and his possessions, movable and otherwise, in Bazas, and other goods in the parts that the French hold, without receiving any compensation in Gascony. He asks, in compensation for his service and losses, and so that he might have something to live off, for a halfpenny sterling on each tun of wine that pays customs at Bordeaux castle for term of life; and that he or his proctor might receive this, by the view of the Constable or the comptroller.
