[This petition is slightly damaged] Gaucem Dynhac states that he has served the king and [his father] for . . . years and more, and requests permission to go to Gascony. He also asks for the customs that the late Galhard de Syran held, that is, the customs of Monte... . . . to Bordeaux castle, and of the office of viguier of the market of Bordeaux, and of . . .. And he asks that he [might have] this [until he has been] paid his wages, as he is greatly impoverished.
Nature of endorsement
The present Seneschal of Gascony and Constable of Bordeaux, or those who will be Seneschal and Constable, or their lieutenants, are to be ordered that, when they have seen the bills that he has for his wages, they are to assign him the same wages from the places mentioned here, to hold until he is fully paid his said wages; and he is not to be removed from this assignment by reason of any command that might be made to the contrary.
