Raymond (Ramon) Pelet asks that the Constable of Bordeaux might be ordered to pay him what he can show to be due to him for his wages in the king's service and that of his father, from the prevote of Born and Mimisan, or that he might have that prevote for the sum that another would be prepared to give, until he has been paid.

From the hand, the language, and the mention of the king's father, this petition must date from the early years of the reign of Edward III. There are instructions to pay the petitioner his wages dated 18 August 3 Edward III (1329) (m.4 of C 61/41), but these do not mention the prevote.
