Name(s)

Addressees
King.
Nature of request
Lop Bergonh de Bordeus makes two requests:1) He states that the Constable of Bordeaux does not want to account with him for the farm of the prevote of Bayonne, except for his own period of office. He asks that he Constable might be ordered to account with him from the time when he accounted with John Travers until the present, and that he might be paid what is owed him; and that he might be allowed his wages for the keeping of the castle in the same coin in which he pays the farm, as has hitherto been the custom.2) He states that the Count of Foix owes him a certain sum of money, but has obliged his goods and lands of Bearn and Marsan to the king. He asks that the Seneschals of Gascony and the Landes might be ordered to do justice, and to compel the Count to pay what he owes.
Nature of endorsement
With regard to the first: he is to have a writ to the Constable to account with him and to pay him what is due to him as soon as he properly can.To the second: he is to have a writ to the Seneschal to do what is just and reasonable to him according to the laws and customs of the country.
