Galard, states that they have lost all their possessions in the king's service, and their castles have been destroyed, and William's brother killed in the king's service, as Oliver de Ingham can inform the king. He requests some grace for this service.

The Treasurer and Chamberlains are to be ordered to pay him £20 of the king's gift.

From the hand and language, this petition would seem to date from the aftermath of the war of St Sardos, and from the reference to Oliver de Ingham, but not as Seneschal of Gascony, probably from 1327-1332, between his two periods of service as Seneschal.
