- Peter de Mon Caup, petitioning on behalf of Raymond de Batz, states that Raymond followed him in the king's wars and has lost his lands and inheritance in the king's service, and has never received any compensation. He asks that he might have the bailiwick of Francescas and the toll (peage) there for five years, as soon as the Duchy comes into the king's hand; and in the meantime he asks the king to retain him for wages with another man at arms, and to order the Constable of Bordeaux to pay him these wages every day until he receives the bailiwick.
