Addressees
King and council.
Nature of request
Bidau Brane, husband of Douce de Montolin, Lady of Villenave, states that the castle of Oeyre belongs to his wife by right of inheritance, and that it is a noble fee; and that, contrary to the king's statute and the common usage of the country, it has come into non-noble hands, that is to say, the hands of John de Mirumbello, burgess of Dax, who was against the king throughout the war. He asks that the truth might be inquired into, and what John gave for the castle and received from the place when it was in his hands might be restored to Bidau in the name of his wife. He asks that he might have a letter to give to the Seneschal to put this into execution without delay.

The Seneschal is to be ordered that, calling the parties, he is to do swift justice according to the statute and the customs of the country.
