Nature of request
Peregrine Diuran states that because of a plea between him and Santz de Ryvere, he has brought an appeal before the king and council. He asks the king to hear this plea and to give judgment, according to what he thinks that law and justice demand.
Nature of endorsement
The Seneschal of Gascony or his lieutenant is to be ordered to adjourn the parties to appear before the king in England, well-prepared, and to send the process under his seal. And he is to do nothing new: and if anything new has been done, he is to return it to the previous state.

Note
A note at the beginning of this file, signed R. L. Atkinson and dated 9 March 1932, states, 'Nos 14511-50 and 14551-80 in the next file appear to form an original file, or at any rate a conjunction of some duration. Such as can be dated appear to belong to the year 1305, or thereabouts, so the remainder may provisionally be regarded as belonging to this date'. This petition is firmly dated to the Lent parliament of 1305 by Pierre Chaplais, 'Les Appels Gascons au Roi d'Engleterre sous le regne d'Edouard Ier (1272-1307)', Economies et societes au Moyen Age: Melanges offerts a Edouard Perroy, p.399, where it is edited.
