- The heirs of Arnold de la Nauda and Brun de la Porta, and John des Dreuxs, their proctor, state that at the request of master Robert de Lasset, Constable of Bordeaux, they obliged themselves with him to Raymond Martin of Saint-Pierre de Bordeaux, for a debt which was put to the use of the king's father; and he promised them that he would pay the entire debt, and would protect them from any costs and damages. But he has paid nothing, and the heirs of Raymond Martin have compelled the heirs of Arnold and Brun to pay the whole debt, as well as great costs and damages. They request letters to the Constable of Bordeaux and to the king's ministers of the Duchy, to give them satisfaction for the debt, the costs and the damages.

Note (Additional information about the record)
- A note at the beginning of this file, signed R. L. Atkinson and dated 9 March 1932, states, 'Nos 14511-50 and 14551-80 in the next file appear to form an original file, or at any rate a conjunction of some duration. Such as can be dated appear to belong to the year 1305, or thereabouts, so the remainder may provisionally be regarded as belonging to this date'. Atkinson appears to be mistaken about this petition, as the mention of the king's father and of Robert de Leysset, Constable of Bordeaux 1293-1294, dates it firmly to the reign of Edward II, and it can be dated precisely by Gascon Rolls 1307-17 no.1576, which is dated 18 May 9 Edward II (1316) and is clearly a response to this petition.
