[This petition is very badly faded, and only a few words can be deciphered. A certain quantity of wheat is mentioned, and there is mention of 'the first year' and 'two years'.]
Nature of endorsement
Pledge to sue: Richard le Counte.He cannot deny that those who at the time of the war lived in Paris, shortly before the war demised to him the aforesaid rent of wheat for a term of four years, because of which the wheat of that rent was seized etc.
