Nature of request
Eliot Gauceline requests the office of scribe in the bailiwick of Castillones, which he held until Adam de Lymbergh, Constable of Bordeaux, took it into the king's hand, because of certain ordinances made by the king. He requests letters under the great seal to the Seneschal and Constable to return it to him, together with the issues received from it since it was taken into the king's hand, and that he might hold it for term of life.

Because he is removed by the ordinances made at Amiens, as he says, if he ought to be restored depends on the grace of the king.
