- Bertram Asalhy states that the king's father gave him the keeping of the castle of Penne-d'Agenais for term of life, as can be seen from his letters patent which he quotes [dated at Berwick-upon-Tweed, 10 March, 4 Edward II (1311)]. He requests confirmation of this gift.
