The consuls of Montreal state that on the Saturday before the feast of St Valentine in the year 1317 [12 February 1318] the people of the Count of Armagnac and Fezensac and of the Vicomte of Brulhois and Fezensaguet and of his brother/colleague (confrater) attacked them with forbidden arms, killing certain people, whom they name, and robbing them of goods and livestock, which they carried off to Castelnau-d'Auzan.
