Nature of request
The proctor of the Abbot of Fecamp states that on 14 July in the king's thirteenth year he lent the king £50, for which he has his letters patent, and that he should have had payment of this sum the following Martinmas, or an allowance in tenths or other debts the Abbot owed the king: but nothing has yet been done. The Abbot owes the king several debts, and he asks that he might have an allowance in them.
Nature of endorsement
Coram rege.[On dorse of SC 8/288/14399] He is to show the Treasurer what he has for the debt, and an allowance is to be made to him according to reason.
