- Arnold de Duffort states that he has lost his lands and rents, and his castles have been destroyed, so that he has nowhere to live. He has also served the king well in Gascony, but has received no wages, and, as he has lost his entire inheritance, he has nothing from which to maintain himself or his people. He asks that some aid might be ordained for him, so that he is not forced to leave the country, as he can have no profit from the lands he has recently been given in Gascony by the king because of the war.
