Nature of request
Petition in four parts:1) Bernard Dalhan asks the king and council to give him permission to enclose and crenellate his house in Creon in the parish of St-Christophe-Danaron, and that he and his heirs might hold it, thus crenellated, forever.2) Bernard Dalhan requests permission to empark his woods in the prevote of Entre-Deux-Mers, and that he and his heirs might hold them as a park forever. And that he and his heirs might have free warren in all his demesne lands forever.3) Eliot de Landarace states that he has married the sister of Benet de Solers, by whose right he holds various lands and rents in Bordeaux, and asks the king to give him letters of request under the great seal to the Mayor and jurats of Bordeaux to receive him as a burgess.4) John de Juson states that he was indicted of the death of W. Caundelmoneer, and because of this was arrested and imprisoned in Bourg, and while he was in prison he was banished from Bordeaux for the same death. He was acquitted before the castellan of Bourg, but remains banished. He asks the king and council that the banishment might be repealed, as both the towns are the king's towns, and use one law.

Note
Bernard Dalhan is given permission to construct a fortress at Creon on 21 June, 14 Edward III (1340) (Carte, vol. I p.100; m.20 of C 61/52). This would seem to provide a terminus ante quem for this petition, which, as the request is denied on this occasion, is probably from a few years earlier.
