Nature of request
Peter Norman, petitioning on behalf of himself and his companions, states that he sued to the court of the king's father and to Walter Langeton his treasurer for five years and more, for debts owed to them by the king for wines taken in the king's realm. They king ordered that they be paid, but neither the treasurer nor anyone else paid them. Thye are also owed money for wines taken by John Gomage, king's butler, in London in the twenty-first year, and for wines taken by Adam de Rokeslee. He requests payment or assignment for these sums.
